Terms and Conditions for Business Card Application
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your application for and use of the E-Shop Kenya Business Card ("the Card"). By applying for the Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible for the Card, your business must:
- Be registered and operating in Kenya
- Have been in operation for at least 6 months
- Provide all required documentation
- Pass our credit assessment
3. Card Features
- Credit Limit: From KES 50,000 to KES 1,000,000 based on credit assessment
- Interest Rate: 0% introductory rate for first 6 months, then 1.5% monthly (18% APR)
- Repayment Period: Up to 12 months
- Annual Fee: KES 2,500 (waived first year)
4. Application Process
By submitting an application, you authorize E-Shop Kenya to:
- Verify all information provided
- Conduct credit checks with credit reference bureaus
- Contact you for additional information if needed
- Use your information for credit assessment and marketing purposes
5. Approval and Disbursement
- Approval is subject to credit assessment
- We reserve the right to approve or decline any application without explanation
- Approved amounts may be less than requested
- Funds will be disbursed to your business account within 3 business days of approval
6. Repayment
- Minimum monthly payment of 5% of outstanding balance or KES 2,500, whichever is higher
- Late payments attract a penalty fee of 5% of payment due
- Default may result in legal action and reporting to credit bureaus
7. Data Protection
We will process your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2019. Your information will be used for:
- Processing your application
- Account management
- Fraud prevention
- Marketing (you may opt out)
8. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Card constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
